Symposium celebrates Melbourne Genomics’ work to date

Audience viewing Melbourne Genomics 2016 symposium

Up to 300 professionals from the medical, government and community spheres are expected to attend a symposium presenting Melbourne Genomics’ work to integrate genomic medicine into Victoria’s healthcare system.

The 1 March event – the Alliance's third symposium since its inception in 2013 – will report results and lessons learned to date from our clinical research projects, workforce education and genomic data programs.

Clinicians and scientists from across the Alliance will discuss how genomics is changing care for patients, and how their hands-on experience has led to greater understanding of this new technology in healthcare.

Teams of doctors, genetic counsellors, health service researchers and scientists from across the Alliance are continuing to work together to evaluate the impact of genomics on medical care.

Registrations are open for the symposium until 27 February 2019.
