The Alliance has pioneered a model for preparing the healthcare system to adopt genomics – by testing genomic sequencing in real-world care and evaluating its impact, preparing and upskilling the medical workforce and building data systems to support genomic testing and data management.

Are you a experienced software engineer with good leadership skills hoping to make a difference? Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance is looking for a Technical Lead to spearhead the development of GenoVic, a world-first clinical system that manages all aspects of genomic testing. Studies have shown how genomic medicine can provide answers, change treatment, and save lives. Now we’re supporting hospitals, clinicians and scientists to make genomic medicine a reality for all Victorians.
Over the next four years, the Alliance will work towards maturing GenoVic and broadening its user base, with a strong focus on innovation and expanding capabilities. The Technical Lead will be responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle, adoption and integration of Agile processes, and for technical decision making and prioritisation. This position will lead the development team and drive operational excellence and quality assurance.
