Melbourne Genomics Executive Director Clara Gaff spoke at the Global Ideas Forum 2015 over the weekend, as part of a panel considering the question: "How might we consider the impact of genomics on individuals and health systems?"

The forum event, "Global health reimagined", was held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre and brought together around 50 speakers across a broad spectrum of expertise including healthcare, research, global development, economics, technology, government and social service. Keynote speakers included Nobel Laureate Peter Doherty, Deakin University's Chair of Public Health Richard Osborne, and CEO of the Royal Women's Hospital Sue Matthews.

"It was wonderful to be a part of this forum which is developing the next generation of global health leaders and building an active, innovative and engaged community," said Clara. "Melbourne Genomics' work is leading the way in tackling head-on the many challenges of bringing genomics to patients - right here in Melbourne and Victoria."
